Bounties & Campaigns

Turn activity into an operations board. Armory Bot has three proof-based ways for Members to earn together: Bounties posted by your staff, solo-launched Deployments, and multi-squad Campaigns where a D20 roll sizes the reward. Every payout lands in your Server's Currency, so it all feeds the same Shop.

All three are free. Configure them on the Dashboard's Operations page; Members play them from slash commands in Discord.

System Who starts it Proof Who signs off Payout
Bounty Staff (/bounty create) Screenshot in the bounty thread Anyone with the operations permission Set per Bounty, plus an optional item
Deployment Launch Roles (/deploy) Screenshot in the report thread Automatic Operation Reward
Campaign Campaign Roles (/campaign launch) Screenshot in the squad thread, each Mission Admins or Moderators Operation Reward × the squad's D20 multiplier

Bounties

A Bounty is a job with a price on it. Staff post it, a Member claims it, does the work and posts proof, and the reward only pays out once someone approves that proof.

How a Bounty runs

  1. Post. /bounty create posts the Bounty to your Bounty Board or Bounty Forum with a Claim Bounty button.
  2. Claim. One Member claims it. They have 24 hours to submit proof, or the claim is released and the Bounty reopens. Staff can release a claim early with /bounty release.
  3. Prove. The claimer posts a screenshot in the Bounty's thread and @mentions the squad-mates who helped (up to the Max Squad Size).
  4. Approve. An Approve / Reject card appears. Approval pays the reward to the claimer and every mentioned squad-mate; rejecting reopens the Bounty for another attempt.

A completed Bounty stays on the board for a while by difficulty: 1 day (Average), 3 (Substantial), 5 (Ruthless), 7 (Lethal), 10 (Absolute).

Rewards

  • Coins: the reward is paid to each squad member.
  • Bonus item: pick any Shop item (or create one on the spot) and a quantity.
  • Absolute Reward: Absolute-difficulty Bounties can also grant a Shop item marked Absolute-only.

Board or Forum

  • Board mode: Bounties post as messages in one text channel (/operations setbountyboard or the Dashboard).
  • Forum mode: each Bounty is its own forum post (/bounty setforum or the Dashboard). When a forum is set, it wins.

Commands

Command Description
/bounties View open Bounties (same as /bounty board)
/bounty board View open Bounties
/bounty create <title> <description> <reward> [difficulty] [bonus_item] [bonus_qty] [reward_item_id] Post a Bounty
/bounty release <bounty_id> Return a claimed Bounty to open
/bounty cancel <bounty_id> Cancel an open or claimed Bounty
/bounty history Recent Bounty activity
/bounty setforum [channel] Set or clear the Bounty Forum

Creating, cancelling, releasing and configuring Bounties uses the operations permission category, and so does approving proof; grant it with permission overrides so trusted roles can review without full admin rights.

Deployments

A Deployment is a solo-launched operation: a Member deploys, plays, and reports back with their squad.

  1. /deploy posts an AI-written briefing publicly. Each Member can have one active Deployment at a time.
  2. The Member clicks Submit Report, which opens a thread.
  3. They post a screenshot and @mention their squad (up to the Max Squad Size, including themselves).
  4. The Operation Reward is paid to everyone in the squad automatically, and a Mission Report is posted to your report channel if one is set.

A Deployment with no proof after 24 hours expires. Staff can undo a completed one with /operations retract, which claws the rewards back.

Command Description
/deploy Launch a Deployment
/operations launch Same as /deploy
/operations history [user] Recent Deployments
/operations retract <deployment_id> <reason> Retract a completed Deployment and claw back rewards

Campaigns

A Campaign is the team layer: several squads run a chain of Missions, and each squad rolls a D20 that decides how big its reward is. Luck never fails a Mission; it only sizes the reward.

How a Campaign runs

  1. Launch. /campaign launch posts a signup card with a Join button per squad (1–10 squads, 1–20 Missions). Staff can pre-assign Members with /campaign assign.
  2. Start. The launcher (or an Administrator) presses Start, or runs /campaign start. Each squad gets its own thread and the first Mission briefing.
  3. Roll and prove. Each squad thread has Roll D20 and Submit Proof buttons. The squad rolls once per Mission and posts screenshot proof; an Admin or Moderator approves or rejects it. A squad that never rolls counts as 1×.
  4. Pay out. Once every squad has finished the Mission, each member of an approved squad earns the Operation Reward × their squad's multiplier, and the next Mission begins.
D20 roll Result Reward
1 Catastrophic 0.25×
2–5 Poor 0.5×
6–10 Below Average 0.75×
11–15 Standard 1×
16–19 Excellent 1.5×
20 Critical Success 2.5×

Wagers

Members can stake coins on their Campaign with /campaign wager, up to your Economy wager limit. A winning wager pays 2× the stake. The Campaign's difficulty sets how many squads must succeed for wagers to win:

Difficulty Squads that must succeed
Average All of them
Substantial At least 75%
Ruthless At least 50%
Lethal At least 25%
Absolute Any one

Wager mode is either Signup (one wager for the whole Campaign) or Per Mission (a wager each Mission); the Dashboard sets the default.

Commands

Command Description
/campaign launch <name> <num_squads> <num_missions> [description] [wager_mode] [difficulty] Launch a Campaign (an AI briefing is written if you leave the description empty)
/campaign assign <campaign_id> <squad_name> <member1> [member2] [member3] Pre-assign Members to a squad
/campaign start <campaign> Start a recruiting Campaign (by ID or name)
/campaign status [campaign_id] View active Campaigns
/campaign wager Wager on your active Campaign
/campaign setprompt <prompt> Set a custom AI theme for Campaign briefings (reset to clear)

Who can do what

The Dashboard's Operations page has an Access Control section with three role lists:

  • Launch Roles: who can /deploy
  • Campaign Roles: who can launch, start and assign Campaigns
  • Wager Roles: who can /campaign wager

Empty means Manage Server

A role list left empty lets anyone with Manage Server use that feature. Add roles (for example your Member role) to open it up; once a list has roles, only those roles and Administrators can use it.

Bounty administration and the /operations settings use the operations permission category instead.

Configuration

Open the Dashboard (/dashboard in Discord) and go to Operations:

  • Deployments tab: Operation Reward (also the base Campaign reward), Max Squad Size (1–10, used by all three systems), Report Channel
  • Bounties tab: Bounty Forum and Bounty Board channels
  • Campaigns tab: default wager mode, Max Squads, Max Missions
  • Overview tab: totals and Access Control

The same settings are also available as /operations setreward, setchannel, setmaxsquad, setbountyboard and setdeployment (the AI theme for Deployment briefings).

Deployment and Campaign briefings use the same built-in military operations flavor as Work. Replace it with /operations setdeployment and /campaign setprompt; your prompt replaces the flavor completely, and reset brings the default back.

Troubleshooting

"You don't have permission" on /deploy or /campaign launch

The matching Access Control role list is probably empty, which limits the feature to members with Manage Server, or it lists roles the Member doesn't have. The denial message links straight to the Dashboard's Operations page, where you can add their role.

Proof was posted but nothing happened

  1. Proof must include an image attachment, posted in the thread the bot opened.
  2. For Deployments, only the Member who deployed can submit.
  3. For Bounties, the claim may have expired after 24 hours; check /bounties.

Deployment won't start

The economy must be enabled (/economy-admin toggle enabled:true), and each Member can have only one active Deployment.
